Allowable Capacity Analysis for
Staggered & Non-Staggered Connections
About This Project
The Concentric Bolted Connection Calculator computes the allowable capacity of bolted connections—both Staggered and Non-Staggered configurations—following AISC specifications and steel design standards. The analysis follows the Allowable Stress Design (ASD) approach to ensure safe and efficient structural connections.
The calculator performs comprehensive analysis including gross area capacity, bearing strength, shearing capacity, evaluates net area with staggered patterns, and block shear failure modes. It provides real-time validation and identifies the governing capacity based on the minimum of all failure modes.
Key Features
- AISC compliant calculations
- Gross area, bearing, and shearing capacity analysis
- Net area with staggered hole patterns
- Block shear failure mode evaluation
